The Holiday Garden is a large property and, hence, can host a lot of people from solo travellers, to couples and families. These five kinds of rooms at the hotel, each catering to a specific need of a customer. 

Deluxe Rooms: Enjoy your private spa bath in the Deluxe rooms in the Holiday Garden. Yes, these rooms can also have spa baths for your ultimate comfort and relaxation. The room comes with an extra-large double bed that can accommodate at least three people. 

Superior Double Room: This room also comes with an extra-large double bed and can accommodate up to three people. This room is best suited for couples and even families. The room also has a safety deposit box for you to store your important belongings. 

Standard Double Room: This room is similar to the Superior Double Room, but it is slightly smaller. However, this room, too, has an extra-large double bed and can accommodate up to three people. This room is best suited for couples. 

Deluxe Triple Rooms: The Deluxe Triple rooms are as large as the superior rooms but it doesn’t have one extra-large bed. Instead, this room comes with one single bed and one standard double bed. The good news is that this room, too, can accommodate three people. This room is best suited for friends or a family with one child. 

Standard Triple Rooms: The best kind of room to stay in if you travelling solo or with a group. This room has three single beds, which means that you can enjoy your privacy even while you stay with your friends. 

All the rooms at the Holiday Garden come with majestic views of the island. The rooms are also soundproof and come with television sets and minibars. Laundry and ironing facilities are available for all guests and the rooms also have drying racks for you to hang your clothes in after you’ve taken a dip in the water.

How to reach

If you are planning to stay at the Holiday Garden, you should fly down to the Velana International Airport (Male international airport). Rasdhoo is around 60 kilometres away from Male city, so the rest of the journey can be made by the water or via the sky, the latter of which is a very expensive option. 

There are essentially three means to reach Rasdhoo from Male – public ferry, scheduled or private speedboat, and seaplane. 

Public ferry: The cheapest option to reach Rasdhoo from Male is also the longest. It can take you around 3-4 hours to reach Rasdhoo on ferries. The view promises to be stunning, of course. So, if you have the time, you can board a public ferry. Another catch is that public ferries do not run every day. Ferries to Rasdhoo only run two to three times a week. In that case, you’d have to coordinate your journey carefully so that you reach on the day there’s a ferry running. 

Scheduled speedboats: Scheduled speedboats are much faster than ferries and can cut your journey by more than half. The speedboats cost more than ferries, but if you want to save time, this is the best way to travel to Rasdhoo. Like ferries, scheduled speedboats also run for two or three days a week at predetermined timings. You should speak to the hotel staff to check for the correct timings so that you can be at the dock at the right time. 

Private speedboats: Private speedboats are much more expensive than scheduled speedboats. This is because these boats do not have any specific timing and will start at your convenience. The only exception to the timing would government mandated ones. The time taken to reach Rasdhoo is similar to that taken by scheduled speedboats. 

Seaplanes: Seaplanes are a great option for those who plan to splurge on their Maldivian vacation. A seaplane can take you to Rasdhoo from Male city in 15 minutes but will burn a big hole in your pockets. They are small aeroplanes that fly above the sea. An added advantage is that flying by seaplane is also an experience in itself in the Maldives. 

The Holiday Garden also offers an airport shuttle service for an extra cost. You need to call the airport staff to enquire about the service, and they’ll arrange all transfers for you. You may also be accompanied by a guide who’ll take you straight to the hotel. For those who do not want the hassle of booking transportation tickets separately, this is a great option.

Policies

Check-in at the Holiday Garden starts as early as 7 A.M. and continues until midnight.You cancheck out any time between 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. Cancellations of a booking would depend on the date on which you want to cancel and the type of room available at the hotel. 

Children of all ages are allowed at Holiday Garden; anyone above the age of 18 is considered an adult. Thehotel accepts credit cards. Smoking is not allowed, but there is a designated smoking area in the hotel. Pets are not allowed at the hotel either.
